JD Martinez Was Worth Every Penny
You do not see a player who gets a big contract work out as often. When a player gets a big contract, the organization trusts that player to meet or exceed a certain expectation. There was one player that joined the Boston Red Sox in 2018 where he was expected to elevate the Sox lineup and bring them a bat that was missing since Ortiz’s departure. That player was JD Martinez. This Season is Already a Failure for the Red Sox
Originally, there was a nickname created for the Boston Bruins for looking like a good team, but in reality, they were not having a good season. They underachieved in expectations and really let fans down during the season. The nickname that was originally created for the Bruins was “Fools Gold”. However, it is officially safe to say that the Boston Red Sox have taken over as the “Fools Gold” of Boston Sports. The Red Sox have had a laughable season where there have been moments that they looked like a high school team at best. Even though mathematically the Sox are still in the hunt for a playoff spot, it looks like they will not be in a playoff run for the 2022 season. Stop Being Cheap
It has been very clear for the first month and a half of the season that the Boston Red Sox do not have that same energy that the team came out with last year. The Red Sox have not looked the same as last year and have been a disappointment to begin the year. Not just on the field, but also off the field as well. Baseball is Back
After a grueling 3-4 months of wondering when baseball would be back, the lockout is over, and we have baseball back. The players union and the owners have made an agreement on the CBT and rule changes for the game for the next 5 years. What does this mean? We are totally aware of the fact that we have not had an article looking back at the 2021 Boston Red Sox season. It is long overdue, but because of the fact that we have received questions on why no MLB teams are making moves the last month and a half, or why there might be a delay or even no MLB season at all, we have decided to put this article ahead of the 2021 Red Sox season recap. The Front Office Choked
As Red Sox fans, when the Red Sox are a successful ball club, we praise them for doing great on the field or making the right decisions for the team upstairs. When they are doing bad however and they mess up, it is ok to get on them and get upset at them for that mistake. That is what it is like to be a true Red Sox fan.
The Long Wait is Over
The long awaited wait is over and the question many people have been asking has been answered! Boston sports is coming back. Gov. Charlie Baker announced on February 25, 2021 that Fenway Park, Gillette Stadium, and TD Garden will reopen their doors to the fans on March 22, 2021. Read more on this big news!
